Apostle Vance L. Dash Sr.
DD, DSL, PHD Founder & Senior Pastor
As a child, Vance L. Dash, Sr. felt the hand of the Lord on his life. He was born to the late Mr. William and Mrs. Barbara Dash and attended church services regularly at the Oak Grove Baptist Church. He later joined the Gospel Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, where he served as Youth Pastor for three years. In March of 1982, Pastor Vance L. Dash was installed as Pastor at the South Baptist Church. There, he effectively ministered, lead, and preached the Word of God until the Lord called him to establish a new work.
In January of 1987, First Church of Deliverance was birthed. In 1993, Pastor Dash was consecrated to the office of Bishop and was appointed to the office of First Assistant Prelate of Faith Tabernacle Ministries. In August of 1995, through the leading of the Holy Ghost, Bishop Dash renamed the ministry of First Church of Deliverance to Rhema Deliverance Center. God continued to show himself mighty on behalf of Bishop Dash and the Rhema Deliverance Center ministry. Through strong leadership and unyielding faithfulness to the Lord, Rhema Deliverance Center moved into a new multipurpose facility in December of 2002 without any continued financial obligations.
The Rhema Deliverance Center ministry was destined for greater levels and greater responsibility as the Lord began to require much from the hands of Bishop Dash. He began to break new ground for various ministries and planted seeds to assist in the growth. Because of this, Bishop Dash was elevated to the appointment of Apostle in April of 2005. Since his elevation, Apostle Dash has also birthed Rhema Deliverance Center in Camila, GA and Baltimore, MD.
